Much like the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers bringing The Megazord, or The Planeteers summoning Captain Planet, mega cat has combined powers to awaken: ULTRAMEGACAT!, a collection of songs comprising an epically concocted EP. Tracked live at Crackle and Pop! Studio in Seattle, you can hear the connected energies of these five musicians (Aaron Benson, Kim West, Ryan Devlin, Dave Dederer, and Jacob Whinihan) coalescing into one powerful force. For mega cat, the instrumental explorations are infinite, and only just beginning. The fully instrumental Ultramegacat EP, greater than the sum of its creative parts, contains the original songs “Dawn of Infinity" and “Spaghetti Man” as well as covers of “Sabotage” (Beastie Boys) and “Bulls on Parade” (Rage Against the Machine).
