The Victron MEGA-fuse 400A/32V is a bolt-on, high-current fuse used to protect DC distribution wiring against short circuits and overload faults in battery banks, inverters, and other high-current DC circuits. It is designed to fit Victron's Lynx Distributor, the modular MEGA-fuse holder, and the 6-way MEGA-fuse holder, as well as standard MEGA-fuse blocks from other manufacturers using the same bolt spacing. At its rated 400A current, the fuse has an approximate voltage drop of 70 mV and a cold resistance of 0.13 mΩ - low enough that it does not meaningfully add to circuit losses in a correctly sized DC system. As with all MEGA-fuses, this is a one-time, non-resettable fuse: once it has opened under a fault condition, the fuse must be physically replaced before the circuit can be restored.
