MEGA BASE Junior is a complementary feeding stuff for suckling foals and young horses which supplies valuable minerals (calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium), organically linked and easy digestible trace elements (IPALIGO®) and vitamins to meet the requirements pre and post weaning - a critical period for healthy growth and development. When considering foals, the first twelve months of life are regarded as main growth period, but the mare’s milk does not always meet the requirements of the foal. To prevent nutrient deficiencies, or abnormalities of the skeletal and locomotor system, a daily supply of minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and trace elements like copper, zinc, manganese, and iodine as well as vitamins A, D, E, K and the B-complex is essential for growing foals. MEGA BASE Junior is formulated to meet the needs of the foal in the first year(s) of life. It contains essential minerals (calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium), trace elements (copper, zinc, manganese, and iodine) and vitamins (vitamins A, D3, E, K3 and vitamin B complex) that are important for a healthy growth phase and development of the locomotor system. From the 4th week of life, the administration of MEGA BASE Junior is recommended to supply to optimally mineralize the growing skeleton and thus prevent subsequent disorders in the Musculo-skeletal system.
