Megamania is an arcade-style shoot 'em up game developed for the Atari 5200. Released by Activision in 1982, the game is considered a classic of the genre. Players control a spaceship at the bottom of the screen, shooting at waves of unique enemy formations that resemble everyday items, such as hamburgers and bowties. The objective is to survive through relentless levels by dodging and destroying these enemies, which descend towards the player. Megamania's gameplay is fast-paced and challenging, requiring quick reflexes and precise shooting to achieve high scores.
