The Melange Meltons range consists of four unique fabrics, united in their depth of colour and interesting shade variation. The term melange is French in its origin, referring to a mix of different shades of fibre which are blended together and spun into a yarn to produce a woven fabric with a distinctive marbled effect. Made from wool, the Melange Meltons range consists of a choice of fibre compositions suitable for heavy use upholstery, drapes and cushions. Marble Melange is made up of 70% wool and 30% other fibres, which include Nylon and Polyester. This quality incorporates more than 30% recycled fibres. Overcoating and REN Khaki are made from 100% wool. REN Khaki is a historical classic with a contemporary feel, originally developed for British Military uniforms during WWI. This quality incorporates five different shades of fibre to represent the natural elements of earth, sky and air.
