Snapchats Duets and Trios is a collection of pieces for students to play together. Duets and trios are fun and the more hands at the piano, the merrier! Written for four or six hands at one keyboard, these fairly short evocative pieces can be performed as a set or individually for piano concerts, recitals, competitions and festivals, or just at home around the piano with family and friends – they are also perfect material for those wishing to brush up on their sight-reading skills.Snapchats Book 1 might be considered late beginner to early intermediate level, taking students from Pre-Grade 1 to around Grade 3 of the British examination board system. This book consists of very short pieces of around 8-bars in length, perfect for those just starting their musical journey.Composed in different styles, they are intended to evoke emotions and capture various moods. Snapchats Duets and Trios Book 1 will suit all tastes; the book features slower atmospheric works such as Sutra, Andante, Shanti Shanti, and Joyful, and combines them with upbeat numbers like Quick Chat, Hopscotch, Samsara and Take Three. I hope you enjoy this selection and wish you many hours of fun playing the piano. Melanie SpanswickNovember 2023
