Melody Guitar Books 1-4, all in one package! The Melody Guitar series focuses on reading and playing melodies in standard music notation. In Melody Guitar 1, you'll learn to read and play notes on strings 1-3 in first position while also learning to read basic rhythms and follow repeat signs. In Melody Guitar 2, you'll learn the notes on strings 4-6 in first position (including sharps and flats), special repeat signs like D.S. and D.C. markings, 8th note and dotted quarter note rhythms and rests, plus the minor pentatonic, blues, and chromatic scales. Melody Guitar 3 picks it up from there. You won't learn any new notes, but the music becomes more and more challenging as you learn new time signatures, more complex rhythms, new scales forms, and get a taste of music theory. In Melody Guitar 4, you'll learn to read and play melodies all over the fretboard. After an introductory chapter on fretboard knowledge, you'll explore the fretboard in and around 5th position, 7th position, and 2nd position.
