Become a Friend of Assateague Island National Seashore and help us directly support the awareness and protection of the National Seashore's wildlife and natural resources for the enjoyment of current and future generations. Curious about some of the things we do? Your Gift of Membership allows AIA to: Raise funds to directly benefit Assateague Island National Seashore. Preserve wildlife and their habitat through direct support of innovative research and education. Manage outreach programs such as the popular Foster Horse Program. Provide educational programming such as health and wellness, lifelong learning and citizen science. Organize volunteer workgroups. Conduct charitable fundraisers including the rare opportunity to name one of the wild horses of Assateague. Ensure that Assateague is preserved and protected for this and future generations. In addition to the satisfaction of supporting Assateague Island National Seashore, our members will also receive a gift and a membership card that entitles you to a 15% discount at the Assateague Island Visitor Center Gift Shop, 10% off online purchases on the AIA website and AIA program fees, and 10% off select purchases at the Beach Hut.
