This 6×8 inch acrylic was painted on location in the rain on Memorial Day. While I worked alongside a friend, life carried on across the street—a family gathering, extra cars in th e driveway, and the feeling of a holiday spent together. A truck towing a boat slipped away before I could include it, leaving only the memory behind. For me, this painting is as much about the day as it is about the scene.
