Harness saddle pads are designed to prevent rubbing, and more evenly distribute pressure. This model features a hard-wearing nylon outer, fully bound with polypropylene webbing. The core is made from memory-foam, a material originally developed for NASA. It has fantastic properties for conforming to the shape of the horse, and for the minimisation of pressure points. This pad is suitable for use with either Quick Hitch or Shaft Loop style saddles in the harness racing range, and is easily fitted to the saddle by the touch & close tape straps, to ensure the pad stays in place. It may not be suitable for all Zilco saddles though just an extension to the velcro will make it usable if it was required for other saddles. As well as making the bearing surface softer it can also help to disperse some of the weight across a broader area. Bright colours are commonly used to personalise the turnout with team colours. The inner memory foam moulds to the horse for extra comfort and fit.
