Battered and cracked from the harsh realities, yet mended and standing proud. Each earring is hand forged with a bronze base and sterling staples. The staples provide a quick fix. A violent shot through two pieces in order to keep them as one. A desperate attempt to repair what once was whole. Bronze chains dangle down from the cracks and are pinned together with melted sterling. I hope in these sutures of metal you can see yourself being pieced back together. I hope their violent recovery can bring only peace. Each earring measures approximately 4” in length and is finished with handmade sterling earwires.
