A grinder with its mill at the base leaves a ring of residue on the table between uses. The Audo Copenhagen Bottle Grinders put the ceramic mechanism at the top instead, so you inv ert the bottle to grind and any loose grounds fall back inside when you set it down. That mechanism handles far more than salt and pepper, taking dried spices, grains, seeds, nuts, and dried fruit, and the cap twists to move the grind from coarse to fine. Norm Architects chose the bottle form deliberately, since a bottle is the last shape you expect to hold something dry. Show more
