After returning from living in Japan for a year (Kate is also an artist and a writer - really what can't she do?) She worked with talented people from a local mill to create her perfect sock, as Kate describes" one knit with US-grown ringspun cotton with touch of lycra for a cozy fit, a band that is comfortable yet still stays up, flat toe seams, and interesting designs in elegant colors". She was inspired by the " oshare" fashionable socks in Japan and thought she should introduce them to the US too.
