Genuine Merrill P-40 Valve body. This valve body is made out of plastic. Fits The Merrill M2000 Yard Hydrant and The Wellpro WM2000 Yard Hydrant. The valve body is made to secure t he hydrant to the plumbing. It also helps insure that the water drains from the pipe to prevent freezing. The total length of the valve body is approximately 3 1/2 inches. The inner diameter at the threads that connect the P-40 to the plumbing is approximately 1 inch.
