Sam's work is rooted in the city but his imagination lives else where - specifically in the dramatic coastlines of Hawaii and California, where sun, surf, cliffs and subtropical landscapes give him a near-endless source of material to draw from. The Mercer Throw feels like a view from underwater. Branching, flowing forms like coral and kelp caught mid-drift. Every Slowdown Studio throw starts as an original artwork.
