The Missing Link Caddis is another deadly pattern from the mind of Mike Mercer. Simply put, this is one caddis imitation that you do not want to be on the river without, and has be en a one of our best dry flies on the Madison from June through August. It features a slim thread body with a midge flash rib, and a little bit of peacock black ice dub in the thorax. The splayed z-lon wings are tied in at an angle in order to imitate a fluttering or spent adult, and the deer hair tilt wing ensures that this pattern floats well and is highly visible on the water.
