Mercy is a glorious aged Muzha Tieguanyin that is most likely from the 1980s. It could also be 1990s, as well. With teas like this, there is no way to verify the age—only drink it relative to other teas and pass on what the vendor who sold it to us said. Whenever it is from, this well-aged Tieguanyin is beautiful, with burgeoning flavors and aromas that go on and on. This tea is both complex and long-lasting, with hints of berries, herbs and nuts and occasionally flowers. The Qi is powerful, with an uplifting and bold vibrancy. Mercy is a wonderful tea and we got it for a relatively affordable price since the collector who shared it with us has not followed the market trend of marking up aged oolong.
