It's great every once in a while to come across a fashion magazine that doesn't take things too seriously, such as PLEASE! or, with added subversion, Buffalo Zine. And now we have MERDE. This excellent Paris-based magazine is self-deprecating by its own definition with a stated aim of 'exploring the creative process without a filter' and to 'disrupt tired fashion narratives'. And while it is sleek and sly it is also, most importantly, highly entertaining. Merde is now published annually and now weighing in with almost 200 pages.
