Domain A is an emblematic estate residing on the Coal River Valley in the southern part of Tasmania. Established first by George & Priscilla Park in 1973, it was expanded by Peter & Ruth Althaus when they acquired the eponymous Stoney Vineyard in 1989. It is now under the guidance of David Walsh, creator of the Mona Museum. Here, there is no machinery in use. The vineyards and winery's operations are handled exclusively by humans: from harvest to the press. Domaine A is unapologetic regarding its commitment towards its wines. First, the team makes their top wines only in the best years. Second, they release them only when ready. 2017 Merlot is crafted with Estate-fruits only, aged in barrels for almost two years. Show more
