The Merope Toque by Jenny Noto came while she was working on her Salazar patterns. While she loved that unique S-cable, it proved difficult to use a fancier stitch pattern such as this one with it. So it got its own pattern, named for a direct descendant of Salazar Slytherin. This pattern has one decrease, so it is important to gauge for height and adjust needle sizes as needed for proper/ preferred fit.
