Details About Artist Bio Shipping Oil on Wood Panel © 2015 9 x 12 in. Framed Modern Eden Gallery presents Verdant an art exhibition inspired by the moment between Summer and Autumn . When lush abundance meets the soft decay and spoils of Fall. Syd Bee is a graduate of Cornish College of the Arts in 2013. She lives and works in Seattle, where she can be found painting while surrounded by a library of fairy tales, comic books, collectable oddities, and a Persian cat. Syd Bee’s interest in folklore, femininity, youth, and the bizarre fuel her passion to create work which captures figures in a dreamy moment. She uses softness in application and color to suggest sweetness in spite of a creeping despondence. Bee’s figures appear melancholy and at odds with unseen forces. Through her explorations, perhaps one day these characters may overcome their circumstances. This piece will be on exhibit through November 7, 2015 and will be shipped within a week of the exhibition closing date.
