Embossing workshop | Saturday 11th April | 1.30-4pm Create your own hand embossed Matchbox. Join Metalsmith Anais Bansal for an informal 2-2.5hr workshop, where you’ll learn the three main low level hand embossing techniques. Working with specialised embossing tools and using recycled metal sheet. The techniques you learn will allow you to create your own embossed shapes and patterns in the form of a matchbox sleeve. Where you will be able to walk away with your very own embossed Matchbox, ready to be used. All levels & abilities welcome, ages 18+ only, no prior experience necessary. Bring a friend and you will each recieve 10% off your ticket price. WHAT YOU’LL GET... 2-2.5hr workshop lead by Metalsmith Anais Bansal. Tools and Materials provided: a choice of Brass/copper/Aluminium sheet for your matchbox sleeve, embossing tools and metal sheers. A choice of a glass of fizz or a non alcoholic soft drink on arrival. 10% off any Anais Bansal products during the workshop. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW... Time: 1.30-3.30/4.00, we will start promptly. Location: Brook Street Business Hub, 117 Brook Street, studio 2-2 The Bench, Glasgow, G40 3AP. Located on the Second floor, with lift access. Getting here: Bridgeton station is a 5 minute walkaway, there is ample free on-street parking, or a building carpark. There is a maximum of 8 people per workshop.
