METAMORPHOSYA Metamorphosya was inspired by a painting I once made by the same name.The piece is about the transformation, or metamorphosis, that takes place when traveling to diff
erent realms through creativity, in this case through painting.The girl inside the theatre is in the process of transforming into a butterfly whilst she is painting a cocoon on the canvas upon her easel.I built the theatre using a large, vintage wooden winebox with chesspieces as 'feet'The butterfly at the top of the theatre is made with papermâché.On the exterior walls of the theatre I created old stones and a tiled roof.The doll 'the painter' is seated on a small handmade stool.
