Metroid (Yellow Label) for the Nintendo NES is a classic action-adventure game that kick-started the popular Metroid franchise. Originally released in 1986, players navigate the game as Samus Aran, a space bounty hunter tasked with infiltrating the planet Zebes. The mission: to eliminate the parasitic Metroids, which the space pirates are using as weapons. Uniquely, the game features an open-world format where players can explore and backtrack, setting it apart from side-scrollers of the time.
