Metzeler are very proud of their Roadtec 01, it is the result of many years and km,s of testing. The front tyre is a full silica single compound radial that provides excellent grip from the compound itself in dry conditions. The front and rear shape and layout of the water grooves move so much water it almost creates dry like conditions giving the rider a confident feel and great feedback. The rear is a dual compound radial with a firmer center strip rubber taking up about 20%. The central stripe has a balanced mixture of silica and carbon to enhance high speed stability, heat dispersal and to provide a balance between abrasion resistance and grip. The shoulder compound (which is similar to the front compound) is designed for excellent grip even on low friction surfaces. Some sizes are available in the HWM version which has a stiffer sidewall designed for heavy bikes that may be loaded up with luggage and a pillion. For other sizes pleas call.
