These toads have wonderful wide builds and tiny pin heads. They're cast in hard white resin, carefully hand-painted and finished with a protective satin varnish. They measure rough ly 9×10cm. Mexican Burrowing Toads are built for burrowing and spend most of their time underground. When calling out to a mate they swell to impressive sizes, with their already short limbs nearly disappearing. They’re the only living representative of the family Rhinophoridae.
