Mexicana Ely Internal Oak Fire Door (FD30)The Mexicana Ely Internal Oak Fire Door is an unfinished FD30 door with a run of clean vertical lines, one of the most popular oak styles in the UK. It gives 30 minutes of certified fire protection and belongs with our oak Mexicano doors, so a fire door can share the same vertical-groove look as the rest of the house. Its simple, timeless face settles into almost any room, from a cottage to a new build.Like every genuine fire door, the Mexicana Ely is faced in oak veneer over a solid, fire-resisting core rather than solid oak, and finished with oak lippings. The core delivers the fire performance while the American white oak face brings natural grain and warmth, and because the face is a natural veneer, no two doors look exactly alike. It is 44mm thick with a generous allowance of up to 30mm off the width and height, and in an oak scheme it pairs naturally with matching oak skirting and architrave.The door is rated FD30, tested and certified to resist the spread of fire for up to 30 minutes, and it is third-party certified under both the Certifire and BM TRADA Q-Mark schemes. A fire door only performs to its rating as part of a complete, fitted set, so it should hang in a suitable fire-rated frame or lining, on the correct fire-rated hinges, with intumescent strips and smoke seals around the leaf. FD30 suits most homes.It hangs on standard fire-rated hinges and takes a lever handle, so you can match compatible ironmongery from our door handles and hardware. The oak veneer is FSC certified and the door carries Deanta's 10 year manufacturer's warranty.It is supplied unfinished and lightly sanded, so seal every face and edge, including the top and bottom, before use, and treat the hinge, latch and handle cut-outs and any trimmed edges as you fit.
