Mezcal Chocolat hits like a shot of mezcal: it opens with sparkling Lime Oil, sharpened by Olibanum from Somalia for smoky depth. To push it further, an ultra-rare Rhum extract (as costly as some of perfumery’s finest Iris!) was added. Instead of just a synthetic cacao accord, Mezcal Chocolat goes all in on Cacao Absolute: the most precious form of cocoa, used here in unprecedented amounts. It then melts into a bed of woods: Virginia Cedarwood, prized for its soft smoky creaminess, and Cypriol Oil from India, adding shadow, depth, and a dark, earthy glow. It gets hot in the kitchen, especially when French chef Mathis Molinié is at work. Flames, spice, intensity... Mezcal Chocolat channels that same energy: a fiery shot of mezcal paired with the indulgence of rich cacao. As a chef, Mathis knows pairings are everything, and here he pushes contrast to the edge: smoky with sweet, spicy with creamy, raw with refined. The result is a fragrance that draws you in, turns up the heat, and leaves its mark.
