MI Paste Plus is a topical toothpaste with bio-available calcium and phosphate. It contains the formula RECALDENT (a calcium and phosphate mixture) which allows the paste to clean, polish, and act as sealing agent.MI Paste Plus offers you the same benefits as regular MI Paste with the addition of a patented form of fluoride that further promotes cavity protection and remineralization. The added fluoride makes it perfect for those who are at a higher risk of cavities.MI Paste comes in a mint flavor to help increase saliva which in turn enhances the effectiveness of RECALDENT. Recommended Indications: To be used for cleaning and polishing procedures as part of a professionally administered prophylaxis treatment. Secondarily, MI Paste can be used for the management of tooth sensitivity, post-scaling, root planing and bleaching.Contradictions: RECALDENT is derived from milk casein. Do not use on patients with a milk protein and/pr hydroxybenzoates allergy.Directions for use: Following routine prophylaxis for removal of plaque, food debris and stain, ask the patient to rinse. Apply a generous layer of MI Paste as a final finishing paste to the tooth surfaces using a prophycup, prophy brush, a gloved finger or in a difficult interproximal areas using as interproximal brush. Request the patient to hold in the mouth for as long as possible (1-2 minutes) avoiding expectoration and delaying swallowing. The long MI Paste and saliva are maintained in the mouth, the more effective the result. Advise the patient not to eat or drink for 30 minutes following application. Store in a cool dry low humidity area away from direct sunlight.
