An outstanding dry flor style Apera. This wine style is produced from the Palomino grape. This makes the perfect aperitif, to accompany tapas and nibbles. Under the guidance of Madden Morris, sixth generation and current Chief Winemaker, the Morris range of fortified and table wines continue to be masterfully crafted with the same skill and passion that has been our hallmark since 1859. A dry flor fino fortified wine, produced predominantly from the Palomino grape. It exhibits a drier style with slight salinity, fresh and zesty citrus notes with a soft finish from approx. 6 years aging. This makes the perfect aperitif, to accompany tapas and nibbles. COLOUR: Pale straw. AROMA: Exhibiting aromas of green apple and hints of citrus with notes of our flor yeast. Crisp nutty notes true to the flor style. PALATE: Clean and fresh with zesty citrus notes and a soft yeast finish from our flor. ABV: 17.0% SIZE: 500mL WINEMAKING & AGING Palomino grapes are harvested at approximately 11° Baume, then crushed and allowed to ferment out to dryness. The base wine is then fortified to approximately 16.0% alcohol and transferred into casks. A flor yeast is then inoculated onto the surface of the wine and allowed to grow, creating a film on the wine, protecting it from air, yet imparting aldehyde and flor characteristics while keeping the freshness of the wine.
