Borealis Blue Large Coaster or Trivet, 7" by Michael Wainwright The Borealis collection is entirely handmade in Michael’s studio in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. Featuring ceram ic with a crystal glaze, the pieces are edged with platinum or gold. The collection is finished with a reactive glaze that fires slightly differently every time, adding to the unique beauty of the pieces. Dimensions are approximate. The Borealis Collection is available with a white, gold, or blue glaze. This item is handmade and will vary in dimensions and appearance. The items currently on sale are visible in their respective images. Handwash only. Not for stove or microwave use. There are silicone feet on the base of the trivets. About the Artist:Michael Wainwright has been getting his hands dirty in clay since the age of 7. When he graduated from NYU in 1991 with a degree in clay sculpture, he didn't know what to do for a living, so he sold his handmade wares in street fairs and craft shows around New York City on weekends, carting his wares on a handtruck on the subway.
