The Michell Orbe Clamp Kit brings the Orbe's record clamping arrangement to the GyroDec, Gyro and Gyro SE. The standard Michell clamp works by pushing down on a ferrule and tightening it by hand. This kit adds a threaded spindle to the main bearing so the threads do the work instead. The difference shows up most on older or warped records. Because the clamp screws down against the spindle rather than relying on hand pressure, it genuinely pulls the record flat against the platter. Better coupling means less of what is in the groove gets lost to a record that is not sitting flush, which reads as tighter definition and less smearing.
