Michi M8 Monoblock Power Amplifier The Michi M8 Monoblock Power Amplifier is built for listeners who want true reference-grade authority, effortless dynamics, and iron-fisted speaker control in a single-channel powerhouse. Delivering a staggering 1,080 watts into 8 ohms and 1,800 watts into 4 ohms, this no-compromise Class AB monoblock amplifier stays smooth, accurate, and composed even with demanding loudspeakers at real-world volumes. At the heart of the M8 is a massive, ultra-low-noise power supply built around dual in-house manufactured toroidal transformers and four British-patented slit-foil bulk storage capacitors designed for high efficiency and low ESR—helping bass hit harder, stop faster, and remain controlled under extreme load. An array of 32 high-current output transistors reduces stress on individual components while preserving the energy, rhythm, and timing that makes music feel alive. On the outside, the M8 pairs its industrial elegance with real system flexibility: balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, two sets of custom Michi speaker binding posts, a high-resolution front display that can show a peak power meter or spectrum analyzer, plus remote control, RS232, and Ethernet integration for custom installs. If your goal is a premium, high-power monoblock that brings limitless headroom, grip, and refinement to a high-end stereo system, the Michi M8 is built for exactly that. The Michi M8 is part of ListenUp's Rotel Power Amplifiers Collection. What It's Good At: Delivering massive monoblock power with effortless headroom for demanding speakers Producing tight, controlled bass and authoritative dynamics under heavy loads Preserving musical timing and detail with a balanced circuit design and precision tuning Supporting clean, low-noise system matching via balanced XLR and RCA inputs Integrating into high-end systems with RS232, Ethernet, and remote-control convenience Providing at-a-glance performance feedback with a high-resolution power meter/spectrum display Michi M8 Full Specifications: Type: Monoblock Power Amplifier Amplifier Class: Class AB Continuous Power Output: 1080 W / channel (8Ω); 1800 W / channel (4Ω) Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): < 0.018% Intermodulation Distortion (60 Hz : 7 kHz, 4:1): < 0.03% Frequency Response: 20 Hz – 20 kHz (+0 dB, -0.15 dB); 10 Hz – 100 kHz (+0 dB, -0.5 dB) Signal-to-Noise Ratio (IHF “A” Weighted): 120 dB Damping Factor (1 kHz, 8Ω): 200 Speaker Impedance: 4Ω minimum Input Sensitivity: Unbalanced (RCA): 1.85 V; Balanced (XLR): 3 V Input Impedance: Unbalanced (RCA): 12.5 kΩ; Balanced (XLR): 100 kΩ Gain: Unbalanced (RCA): 34 dB; Balanced (XLR): 30 dB Inputs: Balanced XLR; Unbalanced RCA Speaker Outputs: 2 sets of custom Michi speaker binding posts Display: High-resolution display with peak power meter or spectrum analyzer mode Control / Integration: Remote control; RS232; Ethernet Power Requirements: USA: 120 V, 60 Hz; Europe: 230 V, 50 Hz Power Consumption: 1200 W Standby Power Consumption: Normal: < 0.5 W; Network Wakeup: < 2 W BTU Rating (4Ω, 1/8 power): 3200 BTU/h Dimensions (W × H × D): 485 × 238 × 465 mm (19" × 9 3/8" × 18 1/4") Front Panel Height: 220 mm (8 3/4") Net Weight: 59.1 kg (130.3 lb) Finish: Black Internal Architecture Highlights: Dual toroidal transformers; 4 slit-foil bulk storage capacitors; 32 high-current output transistors Michi M8 Q&A: What makes the Michi M8 different from a typical stereo power amplifier? The M8 is a dedicated monoblock—one amplifier per channel—designed to maximize power delivery, channel separation, and speaker control for high-end stereo systems. How much power does the Michi M8 deliver? It delivers 1080 watts into 8Ω and 1800 watts into 4Ω, providing extreme headroom for demanding loudspeakers. Does the Michi M8 support balanced connections? Yes. The M8 includes balanced XLR inputs for low-noise, long-run connectivity, along with unbalanced RCA input options. What speakers pair best with the Michi M8? The M8 is engineered for challenging speakers and is rated for 4Ω minimum speaker impedance, making it ideal for power-hungry, low-impedance designs. Can I use the Michi M8 in a custom-installed system? Yes. It supports RS232 and Ethernet integration plus remote control, giving installers and advanced users flexible control options. What does the front display show? The high-resolution front display can be set to show a peak power meter or a spectrum analyzer, offering real-time performance feedback. How efficient is the Michi M8 in standby? Standby consumption is < 0.5 W in normal standby and < 2 W with network wakeup enabled. How large and heavy is the Michi M8? It measures 485 × 238 × 465 mm (19" × 9 3/8" × 18 1/4") and weighs 59.1 kg (130.3 lb). Michi M8 Downloads: Michi M8 ManualMichi M8 Specifications SheetMichi M8 Drawing
