The towels are the expensive part. This is what keeps them alive.Add up what's in your towel drawer: the drying towels, the plush edgeless stacks, the wash mitts. It's usually more money than the chemicals sitting next to it. Yet most of that inventory gets thrown in with whatever detergent is under the sink. That's what kills them. Household detergents are built for cotton, and they leave residue behind. On microfiber that residue clogs the split fibers, which is the entire mechanism the towel works by. A clogged towel stops grabbing and starts pushing: less absorbent, less plush, more likely to streak or mar. What Micro-Clean does differentlyIt's formulated for microfiber specifically, not general fabric. The cleaner package breaks down and releases the dirt, grime, polish and wax that actually ends up in detailing towels, then rinses out clean instead of leaving its own residue behind. Towels come back soft and absorbent rather than stiff and slick. The difference shows on the first wash. If you've been running towels through ordinary detergent for a while, the first load with Micro-Clean is usually the one that surprises people. Why it's worth it Extends the life of expensive microfiber Restores plushness and absorbency Pulls out residue ordinary detergent leaves behind Built for microfiber, not generic fabrics Noticeable from the first wash Washing microfiberTumble dry on the lowest heat setting. Heat is the other thing that ruins microfiber. The fibers are synthetic, and high heat melts and mats them. Low heat, every time.Sort by job, too. Wheel and engine towels have no business in the same load as your glass or interior towels. One thing Micro-Clean can't save: coating towels. Once a ceramic coating has flashed off in the fibers it hardens in there, and no detergent is bringing that towel back. Any towel you've used on a car you're coating gets tossed when the job is done. Budget for them that way and keep them out of the wash entirely.Available in 32 oz. for a home setup and a gallon for a shop going through volume.Pairs well with Creature Edgeless Dual Pile Microfiber, 10pk: the towels that go through the most wash cycles. Dreadnought MAX XL Drying Towel: drying towels lose absorbency fastest. This is what saves them. Microfiber Chenille Wash Mitt: wash mitts hold grit. Clean them or they mar the paint. Professional Pad Cleaning Tool: for polishing pads between panels, before they ever reach the wash. Detailers Products is Georgia's exclusive Shine Supply dealer.
