These small snails are no harm to most macroalgae and will routinely scavenge for microalgae such as hair algae in aquariums. Their (very, very) small size allows them to scale and clean even the most delicate of macroalgae species, and they also breed very quickly. *These are the absolute smallest snails we carry, only maxing out at a couple centimeters long. We would only recommend these snails for nano aquariums due to their small size. *Snails are sold as juveniles and are a few millimeters - centimeter long. *Please keep in mind that these snails are VERY, VERY small! *Disclaimer: while we personally have never had our snails do sufficient damage to macroalgae species, there is always a chance of snails taking a liking to a particular macroalgae.
