Originally designed for a customer in Wisconsin, Nick's DIY wood strip built sea kayak, the microBootlegger Sport, is perfect for solo paddlers. With a slightly raked stem and stern, this kayak has great speed potential, while its flared sides and high stability make it perfect for slicing through waves on a lake. The bottom shape is similar to the Petrel sea kayak, featuring a transitioning chine that allows for smooth progress and positive control when surfing. Whether you're a novice or an experienced kayaker, this design offers both reassurance and exhilarating performance.
