The Micron magbed is machined out of 6.35mm thick 5083 Aluminum Cast Tooling plate and is 130mm^2. We've used a the specified hole layout and added a few extra features as well. Center hole added, just in case you want to go kinematic on the Micron. 2 m3 tapped holes in the lower left corner of the bed for compatibility with our 130mm Flexplate for the V0 Bed. Slightly bigger size at 130mm x 130mm. 2 m3 tapped hole in the rear center of the bed for mounting thermistor and fuse should you desire separate units. This is a top magnet designed bed and has incredible holding power with it's N48SH neodynium magnets good up to 150C. The magnets are recessed slightly below the surface of the bed are attached to the bed with countersunk screws. They each have a pulling force of 11 lbs. Comes with 150C magnets standard. Please Note: We make the Micron beds when the order arrives, so there is a 3-5 day lead time on these beds before we can ship. Flex Plate Choices: Our magbeds are a top magnet design bed, meaning that the magnets are slightly below the surface of the magbed. We are happy to be able to provide some flexplates, with, or without a print surface, called the FireThorns. Thinner sheets may dimple slightly under the magnet. A lot of China build plates are not up to the challenge. IMPORTANT NOTE: If at any point you decide to remove the magnets, first of all, when reinstalling the screws, turn the screw backwards until you feel the threads in the screw jump the threads in the bed. Once you feel that little bump, turn the screw in until it gets to the "screw stops turning point" with zero strength behind it. Once the screw has stopped turning, tighten it 1/32nd of a turn and NO MORE. Overtightening WILL shatter the magnets.
