Microsorum pteropus Windelov is a classic and widely loved Java fern cultivar with the unusual quality of having leaves that divide and branch at the tips into fine, lacy projections. This gives the plant an intricate, almost fern-like texture at the leaf tips that distinguishes it from all other Java fern forms and makes it a uniquely decorative choice for planted aquariums.It grows exactly as all Java fern varieties do — the rhizome should be attached to wood or rock using thread, fishing line, or aquarium-safe glue and must never be buried in the substrate. It thrives in low to medium light without CO2 and is tolerant of a very wide range of water conditions.
