The MidOpt DB850-30.5 is precision-ground and polished to pass visible and 850nm LED or laser diode illumination. 850nm LEDs are perhaps the brightest of all infrared LEDs. Using a DB850 filter over (or behind) the camera lens enables full-color imaging during the day and excellent monochrome contrast at night. These filters are useful for machine vision, 3D point cloud imaging, and day/night camera surveillance applications. “M25.4” or custom-cut 1.0 or 0.5mm thick DB850 filters with a standard 10-5 or better surface quality are most typically mounted between the camera lens and the sensor. All MidOpt filters can also be purchased unmounted or in custom dimensions upon request from Machine Vision Direct.
