My painting is based on a photo of her with her two oldest children when they were very small, which is and has always been my favorite photo of her. She taught me by example how to love others by serving them. One memory I have of her is how she used to fly to our house from Arizona, clutching a carefully wrapped bouquet of flowers from her garden to bring to my mother, because she knew my mother would love something from home. At her funeral, it was mentioned that she never said a bad word about anyone. Such an inspiring woman. Show more
