Created by Chris Ovdiyenko and funded on Kickstarter, the unbranded Midnight Calaveras deck is a darker version of the Classic Calaveras playing cards.Printed by USPCC, the cards f eature metallic printing against a black background. The embossed tuck case boasts premium foil elements. The intricate artwork is inspired by the famous Day-of-the-Dead Mexican celebration. The court cards display different social classes: the spades represent the military class, the clubs represent the common people, the hearts represent the ‘bandidos’, while the diamonds represent the clergy.
