The Midori MD B6 Slim Notebook is a quietly excellent object: no cover, no ornamentation, just 176 pages of Midori's own cream-coloured MD paper wrapped in a removable wax paper ja cket. The paper has been developed and refined since 1960, and it shows — smooth enough for the wettest fountain pen, with no feathering and negligible bleed-through, and with just enough tooth to make pencil and gel pens equally comfortable. The thread-bound spine lies completely flat from the first page to the last, with the cheesecloth binding tape left deliberately exposed as a quiet nod to the craft behind it. Slim enough for a jacket pocket, substantial enough for daily journaling. A ribbon marker keeps your place, and index labels are included for archiving finished notebooks.
