Rare to find unusually small pair of silhouette portrait miniatures by John Miers c.1790.Likely to be a married couple. Very fine, slim high carat frames. 3 cms long by 2 cms wide. Female profile very faintly signed. John Miers (1756–1821) was the most famous profilist or painter of silhouettes in Britain. At the end of his life in 1821, Miers is considered to have amassed 100,000 profiles in his studio. Show more
