Mihrab is a contemplative study of order, direction, and sacred geometry. Rooted in the visual language of Islamic geometry, the artwork draws upon precise, repeating forms to express unity within multiplicity—a quiet reflection of divine order translated into contemporary form. The composition centres on orientation: a visual invitation to pause, align, and return inward. Hand-built textures form a restrained architectural surface, upon which geometric patterns subtly emerge. These motifs are not overtly decorative; they are integrated with intention, allowing symmetry, rhythm, and proportion to speak softly. The palette remains disciplined—muted whites, deep black, and refined gold accents—so that geometry becomes felt rather than announced. The artwork is created through a slow, deliberate process. Layers are applied, refined, and allowed to settle before the next gesture is made. This patience is integral to the final piece, lending it a calm authority and a sense of permanence. The black aluminium floating frame provides a clean, architectural finish, giving the artwork space to breathe while reinforcing its modern presence.
