This LP from a collector's label features the last documented appearance of John Coltrane with the Miles Davis Quintet before he departed to lead his own group. The repertoire ("On Green Dolphin Street," "Walkin'," "Theme," "So What" and "'Round Midnight") offers no surprises but the soloing of Davis, Coltrane and pianist Wynton Kelly is consistantly excellent and sometimes quite exciting.
