Creamy, buttery oolong with delicate floral notes Milk Oolong is an indulgently smooth tea celebrated for its distinctive creamy aroma, buttery mouthfeel and delicate floral character. Grown in China’s Fujian Province, a region renowned for its long tradition of producing exceptional oolong teas, this tea combines premium oolong leaves with a creamy milk flavour to create a beautifully balanced and comforting cup. A 2 Gold Star winner at the Great Taste Awards, this Milk Oolong releases a wonderfully rich waft of creaminess as soon as the pack is opened. Once infused, the leaves produce a clear golden liquor with a soft, rounded texture that coats the mouth with layers of buttery sweetness, gentle floral notes and a subtle umami character. Oolong tea sits beautifully between green and black tea in the way it is processed. The leaves are partially oxidised, allowing them to develop greater depth and richness while still retaining their fresh, fragrant character. This careful processing gives the tea its wonderfully layered flavour, with the light floral qualities of a greener tea balanced by the fuller, softer notes found in more oxidised teas. The premium oolong leaves provide an elegant base for the creamy milk flavouring, which enhances their natural sweetness without overpowering the tea itself. The result is remarkably smooth and silky, with a rich buttery character that feels indulgent while remaining light and refreshing. One of the pleasures of a good oolong is how the leaves continue to reveal themselves over several infusions. This tea can be steeped more than once, with each infusion bringing out slightly different layers of creaminess, florals and gentle sweetness. Here's what the Great Taste judges had to say:“Certainly a buttery infusion, markedly sweet. The tea quality is fine, delicate yet the sweetness and rich butteriness somehow meld and balance well. A really clever blend, perfect for a cream tea in the garden.” Milk Oolong produces a beautifully golden liquor with an unmistakably creamy aroma and a smooth, buttery softness on the palate. Gentle floral notes and subtle umami sit beneath its rich sweetness, creating a deeply comforting yet elegant tea that can be enjoyed at any time of day.
