The Millerods SwitchFreak 732 is a versatile 7'3" fishing rod designed to adapt seamlessly to various freshwater lure techniques, making it perfect for Australian bass and other species. This 1-piece rod features a fast, multi-loading action and is well-suited for a recommended line weight of 7-12 kg and an ideal lure range of 10-50 grams. One of the key strengths of the SwitchFreak is its unique custom blank, which facilitates smooth transitions between casting, retrieving, and fighting fish. This allows anglers to easily switch techniques—whether casting spinnerbaits, pitching jigs, or working topwater lures—without changing outfits. Inspired by Ian Miller's US bass rod designs, the SwitchFreak caters to local preferences while maintaining the same high performance. Its lightweight construction and perfect balance make it feel incredibly comfortable in hand, enhancing sensitivity and reducing fatigue during long fishing sessions. The rod's multi-guide train features 11 Fuji Fazlite KW guides plus a tip-top, ensuring smooth line flow and minimizing friction during casts and retrieves. Ian's Control Freak skeleton handle adds to the rod's comfort and sensitivity, while the Fuji SKTS reel seat is mounted on a blue carbon barrel, complemented by custom-shaped EVA grips in a distinctive blue Camoufish pattern. The SwitchFreak is an ideal choice for anglers looking for a single rod that can handle a variety of techniques in local rivers, whether targeting big golden perch or Murray cod. Millerods recommends using the FG knot for optimal connection between braided lines and monofilament leaders, ensuring reliable performance on the water.
