An attractive, sharp, lustrous, gemmy/translucent, very good-sized crystal (possibly a twin) with minor Quartz and Pyrite aesthetically sitting on matrix. Upon close inspection, I believe that this could be a twinned crystal only because I can see what I would call a clear reentrant angle in the middle of the crystal. I can’t say for sure if it’s twinned, and if anybody out there is familiar with the twinning of Augelite, I would love to hear their feedback. This piece was collected in March of 2006 and was one of the best pieces to come out of Machacamarca during that time.
