Almandine Garnets are some of the most vivid and beautiful gems in the Garnet family, plus they're harder to find than Grossular, Spessartine or Rhodolite. Almandines are beloved f or their great red to purple-red color and larger sized stones. This gem is very attractive with a notably saturated red color, virtually eye clean clarity and a standard "Oval Brilliant" cut. It was cut from a piece rough mined in the 1950s and brought back to the United States by Ed Swoboda.
