Our warm elm chest of drawers features the usual frame and panel construction with a simple apron below the lower frame and round brass handles that mirror the hardware on our clas sical Chinese cabinets and chests. The Chinese did not use chests of drawers until recent times as they instead stored clothes in cabinets or trunks. This chest is therefore not strictly a reproduction but instead our own modern interpretation, still with a strong oriental style. The four full width drawers are mounted on wooden runners to give an easy action when they are opened and closed. Show more
